ok ok Ok!....im back from the depths recording and up about to start a route... i'd like to give a shout to the Steelers who are strong believers in winning....and i picked the cards...(booooo)
So this past saturday @ the "Only For the hip hop" show went down really well. Back for 2nd time, K-Notty started the festivities and showed her skills was more than just spitting ....this cutie pie of the asian persuasion is showing promise for the future of hip hop....a very good look (Waddup Notty?)
I saw Spade of Citizen Kane doing the multi task thing.... Hosting, Mcing, and sipping on soup. Some of yall may laugh at that but when you're a legend with a very good album dropping this year, you can do these things.....and still rock a crowd. ....vet status!
...and when it came to the floss, Gems was the boss.....real clean, and to the point....
Eso Teriq gave us some Treats..dope lyrics and beats.. a shout out to Sci fi and Symetry....i hopefully i spelled yall names right
Priceless and Troy Black came with the heat.....these guys are looking toward the next level... the singing and rapping combo was very good to see....
JSN and the OG Gee-Wonder went hard that night.... a shout to Jsn on that ol skool "boosting" verse ...that one took me back to the good Ol Brooklyn days...are there any "lo lifes" here in Toronto?
Stitch 7 made it heaven as well.....Peace love and having fun unity wont come from a barrell of a gun.....whoa!
Shout out to Major who held down my set. We rocked like rockstars man...standing on top of speakers and all! (hiccup!)
DJ Jase Cozmic showed some skills on the wheeels ...and lets not forget Becks on the Decks... even Kap gave us some Dap....Family was in true form Saturday night.
The Open mic nite was very interesting that night. i thought the best was the kid Scott Jackson who came thru on the Beat Box tip...pretty amazing if you ask me .....
and lets not 4get....."Projects"........by Proverbs...took some people back to the ol days in the PJ's .....

WudUp
Let me get on my NY shit for a sec...... Hoodie on my head. Tims on my feet, Jeans fitting with a bit of room in them...I don't play that tight jean stuff at all. Overall standing firm and .......I wont say swag....i'll say Struttin with a NY Bop bumpin "Streets is Watching".....

For those who missed out on the first G5 show late November, you really should have been there to see what the hoopla was all about. G-Wonda came thru did his thing, Eso Teriq was pretty on point as usual. Stitch 7 was dropping some jewels. C-Dub I got to hear for the first time.(waddup) Lisa Banton showed why she is amazing (rock on girl) and Spade of Citizen Kane kept it at veteran status and rocked the night out.
and oh!.... put me somewhere in btwn there. Mic feedback n all!
you also missed the crazy giveaways....tee's, cd's, and just a great all around great vibe. G5 Party was a success.
A shout to the Dj's that held it down as well :Major, Kap, Becks(hope you enjoyed your b-day nite famo!) and Cozmic....
"you know when its fun, time can fly fast"........a fellow human from the hood!
Its about to be over y'all.......think about how far you came to get as close as you've gotten...think about positive energies and just being real with your homies whether they understood you or not. Think about all the BS you avoided so that you can breathe like a champ. and lastly think about all of those who are now in spirit and in memories we wont forget. Homies and Home girls i present to you Elevation....
'08 was probably one of my smoothest in life. a lot of things that have happened were real spontaneous like and i learned a bunch more about myself. i can feel the growth.
shit i woke this morning and saw a few grey whiskers on my chin...wow! its very inspiring.
I'm in no rush to get old but i must say when its all said and done, i hope i left behind some kind of good feeling to all my fam and friends. i know that i have kept it as 100 as much as possible. no need to try....but I'm damn sure not perfect... and thank god for that. that crown is way too heavy.
As for 09 re"soul"utions? not much just make sure i make money and keep in my right circles. I'm also learning to cut off all BS. and you should too...REAL TALK!
So drink hard and be careful and when the ball drops.... LET IT ALLLL OUT!!!!!!!!!!! it was defiantly a special year

G5radio's Weekly Blog update...

Its ya favorite NY runaway, T-dot hiding, hip hop
shaking, hipstep breaking ( we'll get into that later), and most
definitely reppin the reeeeeal. for those who dont know me, yeah
i been around the block more more than a couple times. the
problem is i never sold crack, (cough...maybe some weed), i
never was a street hustler, and i never shot anybody. sheeeeiiit i
never shot gun in my life...( maybe i'm lying ..not sure)... Overall
im just a good guy who grew up around some good sinister
people. some were blood related, some werent but they sure
acted like we close kins.
So why am i here? What do I have for you thats worth value?
Why am i "aking" all jehova witness like? (its a joke!). Ok heres
what i have for you ..........INSPIRATION!....its somn that i fell
asleep on the last few weeks ...then
BOOM!!!!!! .....OBAMA!!!!!....
You see being a black man.. of guyanese descent...and yes we
all are from africans( YO F*** ALL SLAVE MASTERS AND SOULJAH
BOY FOR THAT WACK ASS COMMENT..... GET YOUR MIND RIGHT
OR EAT A ***K!)..i grew up in a time of subtle mental racism. But
I can officially say through the all the mental chains and especially
living in Brownsville,Bk and living through the famed cracked era,
living to see a black man become "the leader of the free world"
was all worth it. I cried with with my pops over the phone thinking
of the time we fought over the word "nigga". I think of all the the
strains that i have been through all my life because of my skin
color. i think of just about everything. you see i never gave a shit
about how the government handled its black americans. But i
always kept hope for change. Is this the time? We'll see.
In the meantime, Cloud 9 is the location.........
Shout outs the the homie Koz for saying " Yo Trac, you need to
blog it out on g5 radio. wtf is you doing yo?". We should be doing
this more. And i Shall....
So bottom line expect me for me to call it like i see it. Not
everyone will agree with me but thats life. As long as we
acknowledge our mistakes and correct them, we shouldnt have
any problems.......... aiiight! You want problems with
me?.....WHAT!!
As i digress (exhale!)........ check the podcast that DJ Koz
aka "Black Irish" puts together. somn for ya player while ya
swaying around.
And yeah i got Projects... plenty to talk about.......didnt you
